MRS EMILY BROOKS DIES AT AGE OF 86 Had 18 Children 35 Grand children and 26 Great Grandchildren Mrs Emily Brooks widow of David Brooks died last night at 6 o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs Henry Dubai of 427 West Main street She was 86 years of age and had lived In Meriden for the past 61 years She is survived by ten children 36 grandchildren and 26 great - grandchildren Mrs Brooks had 18 children but eight are now dead Those surviving are seven sons Edward William Fred Charles Philip Albert Samuel and three daughters Mrs Josephine Davis Mrs William Pullan and Mrs Henry Dubai The funeral will be held Wednesday morning with services at -St Laurent's church Burial will be in St Patrick's cemetery
