Donna Rose Williams Blanchard, 91, of Rexburg, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2017, of natural causes. She was born Oct. 27,1925 at Chester, Idaho, the daughter of Florence L. Rose and Trevor Noah Williams. She attended school in Chester.
She married Arlo Dee Blanchard on Oct. 28,1949, in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. They had five children. They lived on a ranch where they raised sheep and cattle and grew hay and grain. She worked tirelessly alongside her husband on the ranch and was completely devoted to her family. She was a homemaker and a wonderful example to her family and all who knew her. Donna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different callings. She also served as a full-time missionary in the Northern States Mission. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the love of her life, "Dee." She was a great wife, mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren in their activities throughout the years. She had a deep love for quilting, gardening, cooking, playing the organ and singing with her husband, which she adored. She will be remembered for her positive disposition, her endless patience, her smile, her love of life and her love for many friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Rick (Shellie), Kerry (Yvonne) of Rigby, Bruce (Teresa), Todd (Carol), and son-in-law Dick Olson; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dee; daughter, Anita; and brother Keith.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the Rexburg Center Stake. Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg in charge. Interment will be in the Chester Cemetery.
