Rev. Dr. Ray Allen was the son of Daniel and Laverna (Cheney) Allen. Bessie Jane (Bond) Allen was his 1st wife. They were married December 20, 1885. Bessie died May 25, 1888. Sarah Elizabeth (Martin) Allen was his 2nd wife. They were married July 2, 1895. Sarah died 29, 1914. Mabel Elizabeth (Crabbe) Allen was his 3rd wife. They were married December 20, 1919. Mabel died September 8, 1963. Rev. Dr. Allen was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference 1886 South India Conference by transfer 1886 Bengal Conference at organization 1887 Genesee Conference by transfer 1888. He was assistant editor of Northern Christian Advocate 1902-1903. In 1933 he was a candidate for Republican delegate to the New York Convention to ratify the 21st amendment - defeated. Rev. Allen died in an automobile accident.
