Dorothy W. Morgan, 92, formerly of Alamogordo and Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at South Woods Assisted Living Community in Titusville, Pa.
Dorothy was born on October 20, 1928 in Abilene, Texas, to the late Walter L. and Maud Miller Nall. She married R.C. Morgan on September 17, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1999.
She was a graduate of Clovis High School in Clovis, New Mexico.
Dorothy worked as an administrator in security services for federal government contractors at Holloman AFB and White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
She loved genealogy work, investigating her family tree for over 60 years, finding over 56,000 relatives over that time, and she wrote and published books for various branches of her family. Dorothy was very talented and enjoyed painting dried gourds and ceramics and took the tedious time to paint them with pastels.
Dorothy is survived by her son Walter Douglas Morgan and wife Eileen of Titusville; two granddaughters, Lori Danforth of Titusville, and Julie Pedersen and husband Chris of Neilltown; great grandchildren Jared Lewis of Erie, Lorraine Pedersen of Neilltown, and Christopher Pedersen of Neilltown; one great great grandchild, Nikolai Lewis, of Shaker Heights, Ohio and a sister Shirley Maize of Clovis, New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Heidi; three brothers, Duane, Melvin, and Darryl Thomas; and a sister Joann Coughenhour.
No public calling hours will be observed.
