Elvin Lee Anderson was born January 28, 1935, the third of four sons born to Jesse John (Jack) Anderson and Marvel Camp Anderson, at the family farm in Custer County, Nebraska. Elvin passed away at his Broomfield home of 42 years on August 26, 2013. Many shared their love and appreciation for him in his final months.

Elvin graduated from Arnold High School in Arnold NE in 1952, and the University of Colorado in 1962. He served in the Army from 1955 to 1957. Elvin started his career in internal auditing at Western Electric in Omaha NE in 1962 and retired in 1987 from Lucent Technologies in Westminster CO. He pursued other employment for several years.

He enjoyed flying and completed his private, commercial, twin engine and instructor flying licenses. Other interests were skiing, travelling, tennis, beer and wine making, automobile and sharp shooting skills.

Elvin married Shirley Jeanette Frazer on June 11, 1960 in Arnold NE. They have three children, Tracy Yvonne Gonzalez (Tony), Todd Jesse Anderson, Wendy Lea Olson (Rich) , and five grandchildren, Travis Jesse Anderson, Jacob Dean Anderson, Jordan Anthony Gonzalez, Andrea Lynn Turner (Tyler) and Stella Maisie Olson. Elvin was a fine provider and proud of his family, home and country.

Elvin was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Vern, sister-in-laws Maryann and Betty Lou Anderson, brother and sister-in-law, John and Norma Wigstone.

Besides his immediate family, he leaves two brother, Loren and Dale, sister-in-law, Iris, two brother and sister-in-laws, Virgil and Cheryl Uhrmacher and Terry and Dena Mills and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to True Community Care (formerly Hospice of Broomfield and Boulder Counties) and Broomfield Seniors Meals on Wheels and American Diabetic Association are requested.
