Timothy (Tim) Allen Taylor went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, at the age of 57. He passed away peacefully while staying in the Morrison House where he spent his final days.

Tim was born on October 17, 1963, in Zanesville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Merrell (Flowers) Taylor. He was a caring son, brother, uncle, friend, and knew Christ as his personal Savior.

After graduating from Morgan High School, Tim began working for R.C. Miller Memorials in July 1982 through November 1984. On January 25, 1985, Tim went to work for the Morgan County Department of Job and Family Services where he began his career as the Welfare Fraud Investigator. While remaining employed with MCDJFS, on October 2, 2005, he transitioned to the Network Administrator position from which he retired on October 31, 2014.

Tim was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church and was baptized on August 16, 1998, in the Muskingum River behind the church. His many hobbies included: studying genealogy, Bible study, singing in the church choir, playing cards, gardening, computers, music, and spending time with his family and friends.

Tim is survived by his two brothers, Thomas (Cheryl) Taylor II and Jeffrey Taylor; and one sister, Deborah (Taylor) Gavin, all of McConnelsville. Also surviving are his two nieces, Amanda (Taylor) Carter and Chassie Gavin; one nephew, Zachary Gavin; along with several great-nieces and nephews; and cousins.

Tim's voicetress singing, heartfelt hugs, big heart, and contagious laugh will be forever missed by so many.

At Tim's request, only graveside services will be held for close family and friends at a later date. Burial will be in the Deerfield Cemetery near Malta, Ohio, where he will be laid to rest beside his parents.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to The M-M Fire Department in McConnelsville, Ohio.

The family would like to sincerely acknowledge special friends, Johnny and Jackie Wogan, Kelly McCoy, Bo Powell, James Yoder, Jack Nelson, Sue Gavin, and Paul Wood, who in one way or another checked on or helped care for Tim in his last few years on earth. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!
