Betty L. Paine, 79, of Tremont died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Pekin Manor in Pekin.
She was born May 17, 1928, in Tremont Township, Tazewell County, to Carl and Anna (Weishaupt) Huette. She married Cecil E. Paine on Dec. 10, 1954, in Tremont, and he died Sept. 21, 1995.
Surviving are two sisters, Bernice Barnard of Pekin and Shirley Jost of Castle Rock, Colo.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy M. Huette.
Betty worked at RA Cullinan and Son in Tremont for nine years and worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company's general offices in Peoria for 30 years, retiring Jan. 1, 1985.
She was a member of Tremont Baptist Church and sang in the church choir for many years.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
