On Sunday, November 21, 1999, Jessie Mae Webb-Harris, passed suddenly at Frankford-Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.

Born on Easter Sunday, March 31, 1918, in Tuskegee, AL to the late William and Hannah Webb, she was united in holy matrimony, October 25th, 1936 to Charles E. Harris. The children in this marriage, William and Estella Odella Harris, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her brother, Izear Webb, and sisters-in-law, Irene and Louise Webb. She was the sister of the late Carrie B. Harris, Johnnie Lee Glenn, Glister Webb, Milton Webb, Annie K. Martin-Simmons and William Webb, Jr.

She joined the St. Paul Baptist Church, Armstrong, AL, where she was baptized at an early age. She later became a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Tuskegee, AL.

After arriving in Trevose, PA, in August 1953, she joined the Langhorne Baptist Church, Langhorne, Pa. At the time of her death, she was a devoted, active member of the First Baptist Church of Huntingdon Valley, Huntingdon Valley, Pa., where she served as an usher and was a member of the Willing Workers Club.

After 25 years of service, she retired from the Woods School, Langhorne, Pa., and was also employed at Union Fidelity Insurance Company for approximately 7 years.

Affectionately known as "Aunt Jessie" by many, she leaves to mourn her death, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The service was officiated by the Reverend Bruce W. Petty, Sr., Pastor on November 26, 1999.
