Leighton G. "Lee" Wyscaver, 67, of Greeley and formerly of Johnstown, died Thursday, Jan. 18, at North Colorado Medical Center.
He was born March 1, 1922 to James Henry and Maggie Jane (Dye) Wyscaver in Edmond, Kan.
Mr. Wyscaver grew up in Kansas. The family moved to Denver in 1938 and then to Hudson where he graduated from high school.
On Feb. 14, 1942 he married Mary Frances Dunn in Hudson. They moved to Califonia where he worked in an aircraft factory. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in November, 1942, and served in the Philippines until December of 1945. After his discharge the couple returned to the Denver and Arvada areas. He began Northern Amusement Co. which he still operated at the time of his death.
He and his wife moved to Johnstown in 1972 and lived here until moving to Greeley in September of 1989.
He was a charter member of the Arvada Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances of Greeley, three daughters, Peggy Novak of Boise, Idaho, Pearl Sue Delventhal of Kersey and Barbara Olson of Littleton; two sons, Tom of Golden and Jack of Johnstown; two sisters, Maggie "Pat" Wartgow of Johnstown and Fern
Edwards of Brighton; two brothers, Floyd and Doyle, both of Denver; 12 grandchildren including Tom Wyscayer II, whom the couple raised; and a great-grandson.
Two sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Services were Monday, Jan. 22, at Schmanski Funeral Home, Fort Lupton. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Fort Lupton.
