Marie (Garant) Ruby passed away peacefully on May 18, 2003, at the age of 76 with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Frederick (1966). Loving mother of Fred and Bernice of Windsor, Allen and daughter-in-law Sonja of Toronto and the late Linda Best (1996) and her husband Bob of Windsor. Cherished Grandmother of Joe Ruby, Kerry and Bill Peters, Danielle Best, Carla and Rachel Ruby. Loving great-grandmother of Krista and Kaylee Peters. Dear sister of Rose May and Ernie Trudell of Windsor, Blanche and Ray Poupore of MI, Thersa Lauda and Don Crosby of Elliot Lake, Jeanette and George Leach and Gerald Garant of B.C.

Predeceased by her parents Hosanna and Alcide Garant; brothers Raymond (1972), Clarence (1968), Victor (1998), Edgar (1996), Adelard (1979), Charles (1986), Paul (1972), and sisters, Lea (1922), Estelle Simon (1973) and Cecile Blanchard (1990). Predeceased by brothers-in-law Louis Blanchard, Carl Simon and Ernie Rubick. Also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Jeanette Garant, Margaret Garant Trepanier, Madelyn Garant, Margaret Garant, Blossom Chaykoski, Rose Longmuir, Lawrence Rubick, Frieda and Eli Kos, Rita Hewson and numerous nieces and nephews. Special friend of Sue Cameron.

The family would especially like to thank her niece Pat Reiss for taking such excellent care of Marie and for making her final days as comfortable as possible. Special thanks also to the CCAC nurses for the quality care provided. Visiting at the Morris Sutton Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 68 Giles Blvd. East on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, May 22, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Note: Not sure if her middle name is Lauda. Her sister is Theresa Lauda.
