Mary Jane, wife of J.E. Keyes, of this city, was born at Watertown, N.Y., Sept. 23rd, 1828 and departed this life Feb. 25, 1891, in the 63rd year of her age. The funeral services were conducted Feb. 26th, by Rev. E.C. Booth, and was largely attended by the neighbors and friends of the deceased. Mrs. Keyes was the mother of eight children; of whom, three sons and one daughter survive her.
In 1852 Mrs. Keyes moved to Darlington and has resided here from that time until her death. Her conversion dates from 1854; and from that time until she joined the church triumphant her faith in the power of grace divine to redeem her from the dominion of sin has been firm and constant. Mrs. Keyes has been in failing health for the past two years; and for the last three months of her life was confined to her bed. Through great suffering and sorrow her crown has been won.

Died, in this city on Feb. 15th, 1891, Mary Jane, wife of J.E. Keyes, aged 63 years. She had been a resident of this city since 1852 and many and true were the friendly ties she had kindled among our people. For some years she has been in declining health and her extreme suffering has been borne with a true christian fortitude. Her husband, three sons and one daughter survive her.
The funeral services were held on Feb. 26, the body being interred in Union Grove Cemetery.
