Ezelle L. Abshire, 64, of Mount Hope, died Friday in Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, after a
long illness. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a former Fayette County deputy
assessor. He attended Beckley Church of Christ. Surviving: wife, Ramona Tyree Abshire; sons,
Stanley R. of Charleston, Gerald of Pax, Stephen and David, both of Mount Hope; daughter, Mrs. Pam
Hall of Ripley; stepfather, George Wriston of Oak Hill; brother, Glenn of Baltimore, Md.; sister, Mrs.
Geraldine Warren of Baltimore, Md.; seven grandchildren. Service was Sunday in Tryee Funeral
Home, Mount Hope, with the Rev. Clifford West officiating. Entombment was in Blue Ridge
Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Beckley.
