Robert Jackson Bonner of Stigler, Oklahoma passed away at his home on February 16, 2021 in the Community of Cass at the age of 66 years old.

He was born July 4, 1954 to Jack and Merline Case-Bonner in Coalgate, Oklahoma. He grew up in Atoka, Oklahoma and was a graduate of Atoka High School. He held an Aviation, Business Administration, and Accounting Degrees from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He had many interest, but the majority of his career was spent in family business in Southeastern Oklahoma.

He married Donna Kates July 20, 1990 in Norman Oklahoma. They resided in Ada and then Oklahoma City until retirement. When retired they made their home in Cass where Robert had hobbies of bee keeping, gardening, chickens, and helping his brother in-law with cattle. He was President of the Keota Senior Citizens and lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved to travel and has been to several countries and all 50 states. He also had a very unique sense of humor and could see the humor in everyday life. He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and kind disposition.

He is survived by: His wife, Donna Kates; his brother, Charlie Bonner; his sister, Jerri Bonner-Gordan; his sister in-law, Lora McDaniel; brother In-law, Gary Kates and wife Pat; and his sister in-law, Nancy Self and husband, Steve; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and man’s best friend, his cherished Dachshund, Dorcas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Merline Case-Bonner; two sisters, Frankie Bonner and Cindy Bonner; brothers in-law, Dr. Tim Gordan and Bud McDaniel; niece, Mary Brook McDaniel and; father and mother In-law, Charlie and Helen Kates.

Services will be Monday morning February 22, 2021 at 10:30 am at the Mallory Chapel in Stigler. Memorial donations can be made for the upkeep to the small community cemetery that will be his final resting place. Garland Cemetery In care of First National Bank, P.O. Box 669, Stigler, Oklahoma 74462.
