Dear Ryan,
All of our parents had to sit us down to tell us you died. I'll never forget where I was, at the dining room table and hearing my mother say you were gone forever. I looked down at the crescent-shaped scar you left on my left hand after we played Mercy in gym class. I hope you know that I wasn't mad at you. We had fun in Mrs. Tilman's class. She was the best. You were cute, funny, smart, and not afraid to hang out with girls. I wonder who you would be today.
Love Always,
A Classmate
