He was born July 9, 1920 in Marion, WI to the late Emil and Anna (Wolf) Draheim. He was a 1938 graduate of New Hostein High School. On October 4, 1941 he married Evangeline Karls of New Holstein.
Lloyd worked at Leverenz Shoe factory until entering the Army Air Corp. in 1942. After returning from the service he was employed at the Schildhauer Eleavator and at the New Holstein Post Office until his retirement in 1984.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein and the New Holstein American Legion Post 124.
Survivors include his wife, Evangeline; his children, Kenneth (Darlene) Draheim of New Holstein, Linda Schuerman of Wauwatosa, and Katherine (Brad) Kupfer of Germantown; eight grandchildren, Todd Draheim, Mary Draheim Thome, Tim (Mary) Draheim, Michael (Michelle) Draheim, Jennifer (Joe) Cicero, Theresa (Mike) Glasgow, Courtney Kupfer, and Christopher Kupfer and his fiancee’ Talisa Emberts; eight great grandchildren, Matthew and Elizabeth Thome, Jonathan and Nicole Draheim, Madeline and Emily Cicero, and Nathan and Ryan Glasgow.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws; his brothers, Art and Elmer; a sister, Dorothy Stoddart.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue in New Holstein, WI 53061. Military Rites conducted by the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 will take place following the services.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
