He married Orleans Reed 13 Mar 1977, married Johnnie Marie Anderson 24 June 1980.

Mr. Marion Earnest Gwynn was born January 17, 1934 to the union of Thomas Gwynn and Callie Ann Patterson Gwynn in Gallatin, Tennessee. Upon relocation to Wichita Falls in 1952, Marion met and married the love of his life, Johnnie Marie Anderson. To this union were born three beautiful daughters. After 20 years of service to the United States Air Force and traveling the world active in the community and in his church, St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, a choir member and one of the lead vocalist with the Male Chorus.
Upon retirement from the military, Marion kept an active lifestyle in multiple work areas including Dining Hall Management with Sheppard Air Force Base and 20 years of service with the Wichita Falls Independent School District.

At an early age, Marion accepted Christ as his personal savior and grounded himself in God's Holy Word. As an avid church member and devout Christian, Marion never met a stranger. His exalted spirit and caring nature touched all who came to know him.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Johnnie, of 54 years and his brother, Charles. Left to cherish his teachings and caring nature: daughters, Shirley D. Miller (Marcia), Diana M. Perry, Marilyn (Aaron) Smith, all of Wiley, Texas; sister-in-law, Robbie Marzett Edwards; brother-in-law, L.C. Crawford and first cousin "Dolly" Shirley Persley; grandchildren, Shree D. Miller,LaShawnda R. Fields (Jay), Harvey L. Miller, Jr. (Angel), Michael S. Ward, Tabresha McFall, Monique McFall, Sean Smith, LaRon Smith, Gregory Smith, Christopher Smith and Jasmine Nicolas; 22 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and wondrous friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, July 23, 2021 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home with funeral services at 11 A.M. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas. Interment with military honors will follow at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park.
