Albert Keith Butler, 85 of Summersville passed away Monday February 22, 2021 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. He was the son of the late C.E. "Booze" and Gladys Legg Butler and was born at Summersville August 17, 1935.

Keith was a retired Fola Coal miner, heavy equipment operator, mechanic and farmer. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Summersville Baptist Church.

He was also preceded in death by brothers Charles R. and Claude H. Butler. Surviving - Wife of 59 years: Betty Groves Butler; Son: Richard Keith (Lisa) Butler of Summersville; Daughters: Susie (Shawn) Johnson of Crawley, Lisa (Tim) Harris of Mt. Lookout; Three Grandsons: Michael (Breanna), Zack (Jaclyn) and Adam Johnson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday February 25th in the Summersville Baptist Church with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Glade Creek with Pastor Roger Adams officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday. The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville is in charge of arrangements.
