"Melvin R. Schley, age 81, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Funeral Home-Kellnersville. Rev. Timothy Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Maribel.

Melvin was born Oct. 11, 1920, in Maribel, son of the late Louis and Laura Brandt Schley. Melvin was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing in Two Rivers until his retirement. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maribel.

Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law: Milton and Mildred Schley, Maribel; Lester and Elda Schley, Green Bay. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Roland and Wilbert, one sister: Sylvia Klug.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Funeral Home-Kellnersville from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
