On Sunday, February 21st, Timothy H. McCarty, the loving father of 3, passed away at the age of 51. Timothy McCarty was born on January 18th, 1970 in Santa Barbara, California to Harold "Mac" McCarty and Ruthann Lowenthal. Tim was a well-known real estate broker in the Rockford-Belvidere area and more recently in Northern Wisconsin. Tim had a passion for all things outdoors. A man who loved to hunt, go boating, spend time with his dog Mack, take hikes and snowmobile every second he got. He enjoyed all of this at his beloved Northwoods cabin. Tim made a place for his children to not only grow up, but enjoy all of his favorite things along with him. Once "punk rock", his love for music always lit up a room whether it was his singing or dance moves. Tim was known for his humor, generosity, and love of family.

Tim was preceded in death by his father Harold "Mac" McCarty.

He is survived by his mother, Ruthann (Rich) Lowenthal; his children, Clara, Jack and Erin McCarty; his siblings Catherine (Ron) Pinchott, Theresa (Jim) Oster, Maureen (Doug) McCarty, Patty (Dean) Erwin, Bob McCarty, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A walk-through visitation was held Sunday, February 28 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Masks and social distancing are required.

Funeral Mass was held Monday, March 1 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Rockford, IL.

This summer a large celebration of life will be held in Glidden, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
