Glenford Strother, 78, of Angleton, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 surrounded by his family. Glenford was born on February 16, 1943 in Elizabeth, Louisiana to Daisy (Barbry) and Babe Strother.

His family moved to Brazoria, Texas in 1945 where Glenford attended Columbia High School. After high school, he went to work as a pipefitter in the local chemistry industry, where he loved to cook for the crew.

He is proud of his Native American heritage as a member of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Marksville, Louisiana where he moved back to work for the tribe as a Gaming Inspector.

Upon retirement, he moved back to Texas and resided in Angleton, where he passed in the comfort of his home. We are comforted in knowing he is with his Lord and Savior.

Glenford enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and had a love for gardening.

He is survived by his children: Charles Strother (Pam) of Brazoria; James Strother (Shelia) of Brazoria, Sharon Strother Parks (Jeff) of Chesapeake, Virginia and Rhonda Strother Clark (Will) of Angleton; stepson John Murawski of Seabrook; companion Marjorie Strother of Angleton; his nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Babe Strother and Daisy Barbry Strother; sisters Eleanor Strother Stuckey, Cemonia Strother Williams and Jimmie Strother Reynolds; brothers Walter, Earby, Cleamen, and Allen Strother.

A visitation with the family will be on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home, in West Columbia, Tx., with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Commander Jeffrey Parks officiating.

Interment will follow in Brazoria Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special word of thanks to Cheryl Lowe and staff of IPH Hospice for their compassionate care.
