Larrabee - Paul William Menges, age 87, lifelong resident of Larrabee, entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 27, 2021. Paul was born January 17, 1934 in Larrabee to the late William and Nora Meinke Menges. He was a 1951 graduate of the Mishicot High School. Paul married the former Carol Lambert November 30, 1952 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson. She preceded him in death March 30, 2016. Paul worked as a truck driver for Plumb & Nelson, Wm Schaus & Sons, and for Ferrellgas. He was an avid card player who enjoyed a good game of Sheepshead. He loved following his children and grandchildren's sporting events. Paul enjoyed going up north during the hunting season and walking in the woods. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Gibson.
Paul is survived by two daughters: Vicki Vogt of Denmark and Connie Menges of Larrabee, three sons and daughters-in-law: Paul "Butch" and Mary Menges, of Manitowoc, Jeff and Renee Menges, of Manitowoc, Keith and Tami Menges, of Brillion, 15 grandchildren: Andrew (Kristina) Vogt, Jonathan (Christine) Vogt, Kathrine (Ben) Raddatz, Trina and her significant other, Griff O'Rourke, Rachael (Adam) Crawford, Andrea Menges, Michael (Stephanie) Menges, Jordan Menges, Mac Kayla (Brad) Kasten, Allison Menges, Ethan Menges, Seth Menges, Lauren Menges, Kyle Menges, Brady Menges, 12 great-grandchildren: Elissa, Caleb, Ellyanna, Titus, Timothy, Liam, Madelyn, Camryn, Emersyn, Carter, Brody, and Jaiden. Paul is further survived by one brother-in-law: George Lambert, of Oshkosh, and one sister-in-law: Dolores Benthien, of Mishicot, nieces, nephews, and by many special friends. In addition to his parents and his wife Carol, he was also preceded in death by one son: Todd Menges, son-in-law: Jeffrey Vogt, one brother: Bill Menges, two sisters: Mildred Haese and Betty Wentker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Gibson, with the Reverend James Heffner officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot. Visitation will continue after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Social distancing and masks will be required at both locations.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
