Barden, Dorothy M. Of Jackson, MI passed away February 27, 2021 at the age of 100. Dorothy was born in Chicago, IL on January 18, 1921. She married Joseph A. Sheets and Harold D. Barden after Joseph's death. Mrs. Barden studied Commercial Cert. and Electrical Engineering before going into the Women's Army Corp in World War II. She served in Information and Education for three years. Upon leaving the Women's Army Corp, Mrs. Barden went to work for C.P. Company in 1947 in the Engineering Department. She retired after 30 years. Mrs. Barden is survived by her nephews Keith Avery, Thomas (Joyce) Avery, and William (Janet) Barden; grand nieces Kelly Barden and Amber (Avery) and Brandon Dunbar; grand nephews Kirk Barden, Scott Andres, and Chad Andres; and special friends the Anthony Tropiano family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Harold D. Barden and Joseph A. Sheets, sister Mary E. Martin, brother-in-law Norman E. Martin, and her best friend Dolores Tropiano. Mrs. Barden has been cremated and there will be no visitation or service.
