Viny was the second child of the Lyman and Nora Cunningham Bills Family of Newfane Hill, Vermont. She was teaching school in Jamaica, Vermont, when she married Floyd Clark in 1917. She and Floyd were living in Rockingham when their only child, Maynard, was born.

In later life, Viny had her own small home on property once part of the Bills Family Farm on Newfane Hill. She died at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend.
