He grew up in Luling and as a youth was a member of Templo Bautista Iglesia. Jose was the long-time minister of Templo Bethel Pentecostes Church of Gonzales, Texas, that he established in 1980, until his passing away. He enjoyed watching Western movies, going fishing, carpentering and visiting friends. Jose loved going to breakfast with his older sister Mary.
Survived by his wife, Domitila Campos and their children, Hermelinda, Elsa, Leticia, Delfino, Jessica, Alex, favorite grandson, Joel Mata Campos, 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Burial-March 5, 2021 @ 11 am.
