David William Adams, age 55, of Broxton, Georgia passed away after a courageous battle with prostate cancer on Tuesday evening, March 2, 2021 at his residence. He was born on June 19, 1965 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Cornelius & Thora Ward Adams.
He worked with Premium Waters Inc. and Elixir Industries. He was a United States Army veteran with 22 years of service, retiring as a Master Sergeant. His service included deployments to Bosnia, Desert Storm, Kuwait and Afghanistan. Mr. Adams was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Douglas, GA.
In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his twin brother, Paul Andrew Adams.
Survivors include
His wife, Kimberly Dea Adams of Broxton, GA.
Three daughters: Kallie Adams, Kadence Adams and Kenzie Adams all of Broxton, GA.
Three brothers: Peter Adams of Nicholls, GA, Stephen Adams (Penny) of Douglas, GA and Timothy Adams of Nicholls, GA.
Several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family received friends Thursday evening, March 4, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Bounds officiating. Vicki Merritt gave a eulogy. Military Honors were presented by Ft. Stewart Honor Guard.
Pallbearers were: L.J. Chambers, Bradley Adams, Brandon Adams, Mathew Adams, Mark Adams, Marty Jackson and Galen Griffis.
Honorary pallbearers were: Tim Whitley, Golfing Buddies, Andy Varnadore and Andy Thomas.
Gray McKinnon played prelude and postlude music.
