27 NOV 2022 Notice from FAG that a merge with a duplicate memorial had occurred.ISAAC MCALLISTER was born at Westborough, MA, on 25 Sep 1736. He died at Marlborough, NH, on 8 June 1809. ISAAC married [intention] on 24 Aug 1758 HANNAH GODDARD at Westborough, MA. She was born on 27 Jan 1736/7 at Westborough, MA, the daughter of William and Keziah (Cloice) Goddard. She died at Marlborough, NH, on 3 Mar 1814.

ISAAC was a proprietor at Marlborough, NH. He assisted in surveying the township, and was one of three individuals, in 1763, ordered to lay out a road from Dublin to Keene, NH. ISAAC signed the Association Test on 9 July 1776, essentially endorsing colonial resistance to British forces in the "United Colonies". He served as a Sergeant in Haye's Regiment of the 15th New Hampshire Militia during the Revolutionary War. He fought at the Battle of Bennington at Walloomsac, NY, on 16 Aug 1777, and then marched to Ticonderoga, NY. He had sold his farm at Marlborough for Continental money, intending to buy another farm. However, the money became worthless, and ISAAC ended up penniless. He remained on his last remaining parcel of land, which was considered worthless.
