Mariam Baouardy (Also known as "Saint Mariam Baouardy The Little Arab and Lily of Palestine," and/or "Sister Mary of Jesus Crucified") was a Discalced Carmelite nun of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church. Born to Greek Catholic Palestinian parents from the town of Hurfiesh in the upper Galilee, later moved to I'billin, she was known for her service to the poor. She was a Christian mystic who was know for her stigmata and levitations, and has been canonized by the Catholic Church.A Discalced Carmelite sister.

Her tomb is engraved with this inscription: "Here in the peace of the Lord reposes Sister Mary of Jesus Crucified, professed religious of the white veil. A soul of singular graces, she was conspicuous for her humility, her obedience and her charity. Jesus, the sole love of her heart called her to Himself in the 33rd year of her age and the 12th year of her religious life at Bethlehem, 26 August 1878," according to mysticsofthechurch.com
