Austin Lane Adams, 24, of Bald Knob, passed from this life on Saturday, August 17, 2019 in Patterson, New Jersey. Austin was born December 31, 1994 in Searcy and was a 2014 graduate of White County Central. Bull riding was Austin’s passion. While in junior high school, he was co-state champion and ranked 15th nationally. His personality could light up a room and he had a knack for brightening any day with his charm and sense of humor. Austin was employed in pipeline construction as an X-ray helper and was a member of Local IUOE 112 as well as Local 798. He attended the Velvet Ridge Church of God. The most important thing in Austin’s life was his son, Laramie Lane. The love and bond those two shared was immeasurable. Austin and Laramie where able to have many adventures together as they traveled the country for work. A GoFundMe account has been established “Benefits for Laramie Lane Adams.” The proceeds raised will help Laramie with medical expenses, school and any activities he sees interest in.
He is survived by his son, Laramie Lane Adams; wife, Kursten Adams; mother, Gina Adams; father, Andy Adams; sisters, Jodi Dicus and Ashley Ellis; brother, Brandon Thompson; grandparents, Jack and Sherry Feagin and Dallas and Claudia Walmsley; 4 nephews; 3 nieces; 1 great-nephew; 4 aunts and 2 uncles. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, A.L. Adams and Patsy Piper.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob. A celebration of Austin’s life will be Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Velvet Ridge Church of God. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob – Judsonia.
