Killed in a helicopter accident in Germany. The crash occurred when the Heavy Mortar platoon, HHC, 2/4 Infantry was being transported by helicopter from Ludwigsburg to Grafenwoehr, Germany for live fire training exercises. At some point enroute the rear rotor of the CH47 Chinook transporting them malfunctioned and the helicopter crashed and exploded near Pegnitz, Germany killing all on board.
