Donald George Koehler, age 60, Inverness, FL passed away March 4, 2021 at his residence.
Don was born in No. Babylon, NY on December 23, 1960 (1 of 7 children) to the late Edward and Edith (Mundy) Koehler and came to Citrus County in 1975. He was employed by the Citrus County School System Maintenance Department as an Air Conditioning Journeyman Technician.
Most important to Don was taking care of family and friends. He was a hard worker and believed in doing his job to the best of his ability every day. As a child he enjoyed taking apart small machines which led to his favorite hobby as an adult. He could frequently be found in the garage making repairs for family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He truly was one of a kind and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Sandra Koehler; 2 daughters: Emily Roth of Atlanta, GA and Alissa Koehler of Inverness; 1 grandson: Xander Roth of Atlanta, GA; 1 brother: Bobby (and Elaine) Koehler of Inverness; 3 sisters: Carolyn Koehler and Sheryl Losito, both of Inverness, and Kathy (and Mike) Tomas of Simpsonville, SC; 1 brother-in-law Kenny Schill of Springhill, FL; his brother, Brian Koehler and sister, Nancy Schill preceded him in death.
There will be a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, March 13th from 3:00 PM until 4:30 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home on South Florida Avenue in Inverness. Friends and neighbors may gather with the family, fellowship, and share their memories of Don.
Committal services will be scheduled by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted by either the Hernando or Pleasant Grove Library Programs.
