Mrs. Elizabeth R. "Lil" Kirchgesner, 81, of St. Joseph's Home, formerly of 357 W. Carpenter St., died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital.
She was born in Springfield, the daughter of John and Dorothea Boesdorfer Harbauer.
She married John Kirchgesner in 1919. He preceded her in death in 1965.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church and Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by one daughter, Sr. M. Angela, OSU, of New Orleans, La.; three sons, John Jr., Charles and Richard, all of Springfield; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Christine Smith, of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were at SS. Peter and Paul Church.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
