Callie Mae Spearman, 65, of 715 Clem Road, died Monday, July 8, 2002, at her home.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie W. Spearman Sr. and Mary Boozer Spearman. She was a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, where she was vice president of the Missionary Society, assistant supervisor of Sunday School, president of the Adult Choir, former member of the Steward Board, and founder and former president of the Allen Chapel Gospel Chorus. She was a member of Abbeville-Greenwood District Choir, Women's Aid Society 98, Old Abbeville Highway Community Club, and a graduate of Brewer High School Class of 1956.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Frazier of Greenwood; two brothers, Willie Spearman of Greenwood and the Rev. Charlie Spearman of Greenville; two sisters, Mary Lee Williams of Greenwood and Earlene Aikens of Due West; three grandchildren reared in the home; Antonio D. Taylor, Markus Frazier and Melvin Jaborri Frazier, all of Greenwood; and one grandchild.
Services will be announced by Percival-Tompkins Funeral Home.
