The Liberal News (Liberal, Kansas) June 24, 1915 Thursday:
District Court Notes--"Con G. Buster was granted a divorce from Willie (Willia) R. Buster"

According to a genealogist who researched Con: "Con was "brought in" to the Sheriff's Office on 17 Mar 1921 due to erratic behavior and scaring neighbors. Then on 7 Apr 1921, his estate is being auctioned. This could be for 2 reasons. 1 -He owed taxes. See the article dated, 28 Jul 1921. Con was on a list of hundreds of people owing taxes, About $100. -or- 2. He died and his estate was being sold to settle debts, including the taxes. BUT... The Tax Collector posted again on 28 July and 11 Aug 1921, taxes owed by him. WHY??? Was he not dead? Was it an oversight because of the long list? Next mention of him in the newspaper was on 2 Feb 1922...An Administrator was assigned to govern the estate of the "deceased" Con G. Buster. And keep in mind, the estate had to be sold. It could have taken months with the sale and the administration. I have searched high and low, there is no grave for him. There is no death certificate. He is not buried with his ex-wives, nor his daughter, Dortha. I have searched Kansas Vital Records...nothing. In the old days, patients that died in State custody (mental), were buried on hospital land. This could have happened. But one question...Where's the Death Certificate? It's mandatory, especially for a hospital. "

" . . . another article dated 7 April 1921, stating that a guardian was appointed to "Person and Estate of Con G. Buster, Insane."
