Death In Ramsay
On Sunday, Feb 6th, the beloved wife of Jacob Matthews passed away at the home of her son, A.W. Matthews, Ramsay. The deceased, whose maiden name was Janet Anderson, was born in 1850 in the Township of Lanark. In 1870 she was married to Jacob Matthews, of the same township, where they lived for some years. Later they moved to the village of Kenmore, and a few years after to Ashton. In 1898 they came to live on the ninth line of Ramsay, at Sunnyside Farm, which has since been their home. Interment took place on Wednesday, in the Union cemetery, 8th line Ramsay. – Lanark Era.
