Gary E. Breitwisch, age 75, a Plymouth resident, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his home.

He was born June 20, 1945 in Manitowoc, son of the late Edward and Ethel (Jindra) Breitwisch. Gary was a graduate of Lincoln High School as well as the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. In June of 1968 he married the former Linda Mae Teteak. She preceded him in death on September 28, 2015. In 1971, Gary began employment and was still employed as a Senior Mechanical Engineer after 50 years at the time of his passing at AECOM. Gary loved boating, camping, tinkering, and spending time with his grandson. He was a member of the Sheboygan Outboard Club as well as various other boating clubs and activities.

Survivors include his grandson: Cody Breitwisch, Sheboygan; one sister-in-law: Jane Breitwisch, Marion, Iowa; one niece: Sheryl (Justin) Stine, Lincoln, Nebraska; one nephew: David (Michelle) Breitwisch, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two great-nieces and three great-nephews; and two aunts: Grace Schleis and Carol Jindra, both of Mishicot. Cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Ethel Breitwisch; his wife: Linda; his son: Rick Breitwisch; one brother: Ron Breitwisch; and his mother-in-law: Claudia Kolpin.

Cremation has occurred at the All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc, WI 54220. Gary will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 12 at the funeral home.
