Ann Boys Kavanaugh of Cokesbury Village, Hockessin, DE, died peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2009. Ann was born on March 28, 1919, in Wilmington, DE to Richard McMullen Boys and Alberta (Davis) Boys. A graduate of Wilmington High School and Goldy Beacom Collage, Ann worked as a secretary for the Atlas Chemical Corporation. She was the wife of Gerard P. Kavanaugh Sr. for 66 years until his death in 2007. She was a loving Mother and a home maker for most of her life. Ann was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was active in the establishment of the Blue and Gold game and a supporter of the Mary Campbell Center. Ann is survived by 5 sons Gerard Jr., Michael, Timothy, Stephen, and Richard; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, Aunt Audrey, 5 nieces and a nephew. Ann was deeply loved. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held at Cokesbury Village Auditorium at 726 Loveville Rd. Hockessin at 3:30 pm, on Friday April 24. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers and in memory of her daughter, Ann Marie, donations may be made to the Mary Campbell Center at 4641 Weldin Rd. Wilmington, DE 19803
