She was a member of one of this city's oldest and most respected families having been born here July 22, 1875. She was the daughter of Chauncey Stewart Conger and Ellen Stewart Conger and was reared in this community. They had resided in the New York City area for many years and following his death she returned to Carmi in the fall of 1957. She had been engaged in custom decorating of cakes before coming here and on a few occasions exhibited her skill locally.
Surviving are three sons, Frederick G. Street, Bradford, Pennsylvania, Louis F. Street, Hampton, New Jersey and Chauncey Conger Street, Los Angeles, California; one sister, Mrs. Helen Haas, Carmi, and three granddaughters.
A daughter, Barbara Ann died at the age of four years.
