What can I say about my dad? Very little, I think since I didn't get to be with him very much. I was 2 years old when he and my mom divorced. I did get to visit with him some thanks to my step mom Jewel. And she was a mom in very sense except one, she did not give birth to me. I loved her.

Stop that, this is suppose to be about my dad. Mom and Dad married Feb 2, 1931 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. They moved to Texas at one point because that's where my brother was born, then migrated to California. My sister and I were both born in CA. Mom talked a bit about living in 'Tent City' in Arvin, CA. Dad eventually because foreman of the Wasco Ranch in Wasco, CA. My mother's mom lived with them quite a bit. My grandma had the Pearce curse of being very hard of hearing. I have the same curse but my brother and sister did not. Dad use to say that my grandma could hear when you didn't want her to.

I'm not sure when and how my parents got to be friends with Jewel and Dub Reed. But they did and partied some together. I've got several pictures to testify to that fact. My mom and dad divorced and so did the Reed's. My dad and Jewel married. Dub ask my mom to marry him but she declined.

Dad and my mom had three children: Dearl Jr, my sister and myself. Dad and Jewel had two children: Jeri Ailey and Melvin. Dad had 2 brothers: Thomas and Alfred, and one sister Zeffie.
