Memorial services were conducted Friday, June 6, 1986, at 2 p.m. from Garner-Harper Funeral Home in Grenada for Jim George Smith, 76, of Duck Hill.

Smith died Wednesday, June 4, at his daughter's Grenada residence. He was a retired farmer and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Services were preached by the Rev. Norris Corley and the Rev. W.M. Hull. Burial was in Duck Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lott Smith of Duck Hill; a daughter, Mary Smith Elmore of Grenada; five brothers, Clyde Smith and Raymond Smith, both of Carrollton, Louis Smith of San Jose, Calif., Tom Smith of Enon, and Sam Smith of Water Valley; two sisters, Willie Holeman of Greenwood and Winnie Pickle of Grenada, and two grandchildren.

Garner-Harper Funeral Home of Grenada handled arrangements.
