Mrs. Alice E. Naill, 76, of Mount Airy, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Henry James Naill, who died Oct. 2, 1978.
Born May 20, 1923, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Hall Eugene and Jennie Mae Wilson Brown.
Mrs. Naill, with her husband, owned and operated Henry J. Naill and Sons Roofing.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy L. Thompson of Mount Airy, with whom she lived, and Elizabeth A. Welsh of Westminster; sons, David J. Naill Sr., Ralph L. Naill and Donald E. Naill, all of Mount Airy, and Michael R. Naill of Frederick; one sister, Angela Valenza of Seaford, Del.; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald E. Naill; one daughter, Teresa V. Naill; and three brothers, Woodrow, William and Dickie Burke.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 15, at Myers Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17, at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, Mount Airy. The Rev. Gary Mosorjak will officiate.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
