Sharon (Airey) McBroom, 57 of Chatsworth, GA and formerly of Oxford, IA, died on Saturday 13 Mar 2021 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday 27 March 2021 at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. Visitation with the family present will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Ivy Hill Cemetery in Malcom. A face covering will be required for those attending the visitation and funeral service.
Sharon Lee Airey was born the daughter of William And Ruth Ann (McDonald) Airey on 19 June 1963 in Marshalltown, IA she was raised on the family farm in Marshall County, IA and graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1981. She received her nursing degree from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Duane McBroom of Chatsworth, GA; mother, Ruth Airey of Oxford, IA, two brothers, Lynn Airey of Iowa City and Mervin Airey of Oxford; three sisters, Linda Airey of Iowa City, Judy (John) Schwab of Tiffin, IA, and Evelyn Airey of Tiffin; and a step daughter, Stephanie, and her family. She was preceded in death by her father, William Airey.
