Today I stumbled and once again, was lifted up by an unseen hand. What comfort and joy that knowledge brings, for I hear the whisper of angel wings. The guardian angels God sends to all, to bear us up when we stumble and fall. Trust Him, my friend, and often you'll hear the whisper of angel wings hovering near. We can hear the whisper of your wings Mom.
Our angel, Alice Maureen O'Connor Wickett earned her wings Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007.
Alice was born Sept.1, 1932 in Easton, PA. to Francis and Mollie O'Connor.
Preceding her in death are her loving husband of 34 years James E. Wickett Sr. and her brother Joseph O'Connor.
Alice was a long time resident of N. Miami Beach, FL. and most recently relocated to The Villages of Lady Lake FL. Alice was a retired telephone operator supervisor of 40 years. She continued to share her loving spirit as a volunteer of the AT&T Pioneers and Operation Shoebox.
She is survived by many family and friends, including 5 loving children, Bonnie S. Doty (Michael) of Loxahatchee, FL., Lorie A. Kramer of Rock Hill, SC., James E. Wickett Jr. of Hollywood, FL., Cindy Crook (Jeremy) of Asheville, NC. and Nicholas S. Wickett of Gotha, FL.; 8 grandchildren, James E. Wickett III, Andrew J. Kramer, Krystal L. Wickett, Jennifer L. Kramer, Kaitlynne N. Wickett, Dalton J. Crook, Michelle S. Doty, Dylan J. Crook and her furry, loyal companion Angel.
An angel is defined as an immortal being attendant upon God; a very kind and lovable person; a helping or guiding spirit. So rest now angel, we'll meet you in our dreams. We love you Mom, Grama, Friend.
