Spencer Harrison "S.H." Jones was born in Clarksville, Johnson, Arkansas, October 15, 1888, to Mary Adams Jones and Spencer P. Jones.

Spencer is survived by his wife Mary E. Jones, sons: Melvin, Lyndsey, Jack, and Billy. Daughters: Mary Bell Murphy, Lois Brown, and Eva Nell Jones. Spencer is preceded in death by sons: James and Tommie. Daughter: Laura Jones.

At the time of his death S.H. was retired from farming.

S.H. died March 17, 1959 following an automobile accident near Brownfield, Texas.
