Hilda was married to Frank Conley, warden of Deer Lodge Prison and mayor of Deer Lodge, Montana. Frank and Hilda owned a summer home at Conley Lake at the base of Mount Powell in Deer Lodge, and it was their wish after their deaths that their ashes be spread over Mount Powell.
She was survived by her daughters, Hilda and Helen, as well as her brother Arthur.
