"Final Tributes to Memory of Roland Anderson, Pioneer of Globe at Funeral"
Funeral services for the late Roland Morrison Anderson, aged 78 years, familiarly known as "Bob Anderson," pioneer resident of Globe, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of the Jones Funeral Home.

The Rev. Fred R. Daehler, pastor of the First Baptist Church conducted the services. Favorite songs were sung by Mrs. Hilda Mitchell, accompanied by Mrs. Tom Clemo.
Pallbearers were Louis Walliman, Frank Parker, Ed Anderson, T.J. Long, Chas. Collins and Riley Jackson.

Burial was in Globe cemetery by his wife, Mattie, who died here in 1934.
Born Sept. 12, 1866 in Arkansas, he came to the district 47 years ago, where he operated a cattle ranch south of Globe. He later became city marshal of Globe, an office which he held for several years. Upon retirement from office he again went into the cattle business, operating a ranch at El Capitan, until failing health forced him to retire. He then moved to Globe, purchasing a home on South Broad street.
He was taken seriously ill several weeks ago when he was removed to the Gila general hospital where he died on Sunday afternoon.

He is survived by one daughter and two sons, who re Mrs. Sydnor Rowe, Los Angeles; Robt. H. Anderson, Long Beach, Ca., Lee Anderson, Globe; also five step-children who are Mrs. Nell Reid, Long Beach...... [illegible]... Merle Kovach of Los Angeles; Theodore C. Freeman and Lon Freeman, California. Mrs. Rowe, Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Anderson were here to attend the funeral.
