Peter P. Buscemi, 61, of Sunset Hill Road, Brookfield, devoted husband of Paula (Tierney) Buscemi, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, November 1st at New Milford Hospital. He was born in Lakehurst, New Jersey, on October 13, 1942, son of Arthur and Eileen (Geaney) Buscemi.

Peter graduated from the University of Connecticut, School of Law with a Juris Doctor. He received his bachelor?s degree from Fordham University where he was active in R.O.T.C. He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving as Captain with the Signal Corps of the United States Army. He was a recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, two Bronze Star Medals, an Air Medal, and the Vietnam Service Ribbon with Triple Battle Cluster for his meritorious achievement in Vietnam. He was also the recipient of several commendations, awards and medals from the Vietnam Government for his service there.

Peter maintained a private law practice in the Brookfield community. He was a past member of the Brookfield/Danbury Rotary Club, was a member and past president of the Brookfield Exchange Club, and former member of the Community Advisory Board for Center Bank. He was a member of the Brookfield VFW, and Disabled American Veterans.

Besides his loving wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters, and a son

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 7th, 10:00 a.m., at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Brookfield. Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, November 6th between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m.
