Alex Tribune, June 26, 1925 - "Mrs. Hardin Succumbs After Long Illness - Mrs. Bessie Hardin, wife of Mart Hardin, died at the home of their daughter, Mrs. John Kitchens, in the Oakr5idge community Monday, June 22, aged 56 years, 6 months and 24 days. She had been a sufferer for a long time and had been confined to her bed for the past two months and after much suffering she fell asleep. She was the mother of seven children, two of whom preceded her to the grave. She was a member of the Church of Christ and her pastor, Bro. G. F. Woods, conducted the funeral services, Monday afternoon, after which her body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Ireton. She is survived by her husband, three sons and two daughters and many relatives and friends who mourn her passing."
