ELKHART- Joann Baker, 79, of Elkhart, passed away Monday November 18, 2019 at the Center for Hospice Care-Elkhart. She was born November 1, 1940 in Savanah, TN to George Ernie & Zelma Dewdrop (Castleberry) Norris.
She married Carl Baker who preceded her in death on March 11, 2015. Surviving is a daughter, Rebecca Evans and 2 grandsons, Matthew David Evans and Michael Wayne Evans all of Sturgis, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 4 siblings.
Joann was a retired farmer. She enjoyed watching sporting events and playing bingo and cards with her friends.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or services and cremation will take place. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care.
