Born in Dayton, he was a life-long resident of Tippecanoe county. He was married in 1891 to Martha Boyles, who died in 1943. He belonged to the Dayton Methodist church and the Dayton Masonic lodge.
Besides the son there are three surviving brothers.
The funeral was to have been held at 1:30 today - Friday - in Dayton, with the Rev. H. Earl Moore officiating. Burial was to have been in the Dayton cemetery.
