Surviving him are one son, O. Gorrell of Dresden, one sister Mrs A.L. Sterling of Sedalia and two brothers John gorrell of Windsor, Mo and Hinton Gorrell of Sedalia.
He was born in Todd County, KY, October 18, 1850 and early in life came to missouri with his parents, J.B. and Mary Gorrell, settling on a farm nine miles north of Sedalia.
The body will arrive this evening from Springfield and will be taken to the home of Mrs. A.L. Sterling 621 West Seventh Street at which place the funeral will be held at 8 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
The Rev A.W. Kokendoffer, pastor of the First Christian Church will officiate and the music will be furnished by members of the Christian Church choir.
Pallbearers will be his six nephews: S.E and A.U Harvey, Robert and Van Sterling. Mack and Ruford Gorrell.
